Assistant Clinical Professor, Dental Hygiene - #603569
The Dental Hygiene Department in the College of Health and Human Services at Northern Arizona University seeks applications for a full time, 9-month academic year, non-tenure track Assistant Clinical Professor. This is a benefit eligible position, located in Flagstaff, Arizona. The selected candidate will provide instruction to diverse dental hygiene students in the classroom, clinic and/or online. The faculty member’s teaching and service responsibilities will be determined based on the faculty member’s areas of dental hygiene expertise, special interest, and Department of Dental Hygiene needs. The faculty member will be responsible for sustaining a pattern of substantial scholarly activity related to the dental hygiene profession. Northern Arizona University is a 29,000-student institution with its main campus in Flagstaff, a four-season community of about 70,000 at the base of the majestic San Francisco Peaks. NAU’s emphasis on undergraduate education is enhanced by its graduate programs and research as well as distance learning. Minimum Qualifications: Dental hygiene license, Master’s degree in Dental Hygiene or Master's degree in directly related field. Completion of Degree must be prior to 08/20/2018. NOTE: Doctoral degree is required for promotion in this position. One year of Dental Hygiene and/or public health teaching experience, three years of full time (32+ hours/week) clinical and/or public health dental hygiene experience. Eligible for licensure as a Dental Hygienist in Arizona.
Annual Salary: Commensurate with experience.
